SOCSTC's Outpatient Mental Health Program for children, adolescents, and their families are provided in SOCSTC's Ashland and Medford offices. Therapists provide skilled clinical intervention primarily to children, youth, and families who are OHP-Medicaid eligible or have private insurance.
Treatment
Approach
Individual psychotherapy comprises the major modality of treatment services
to the children and youth who participate in the Outpatient Mental Health
Program. Services may also include family therapy, parent training, and
crisis services when appropriate. The child's treatment plan and treatment
progress is shared quarterly with the family. At this time, the family has
an opportunity to provide input regarding their child's overall treatment
plan. Through therapeutic support and consultation, most children participating
in this program are able to maintain themselves in their school, family,
and other community activities.
Services
Provided
Outpatient therapists
are available to provide assessment, evaluation, individual, group, and
family therapy, medication management, and consultation. We also offer specific
individual and group treatment for child victims of abuse.
