SOCSTC's Family Sex Abuse Treatment Program provides group treatment for victims of family sex abuse, their siblings, and non-offending parents.
Treatment
Approach
The Family Sex Abuse Treatment Program provides timely access to treatment,
support and validation of the victim, reduction of trauma, and ensures the
safety of the child. All
relevant community resources are assembled to provide an integrated supportive
response. As community supports are identified, those involved with the
family serve as co-consultants, assisting the family in making decisions
and setting goals.
Services
Provided
A Master's level
therapist, along with an assistant for group facilitation, provide: assessment,
groups for non-offending parents, group treatment for victims, and individual
counseling for victims, non-offending parents, and siblings where appropriate.
